Picnic Events acquired the exclusive license to produce Wanderlust across Australia & New Zealand - since launching in March 2014, our subsidiary company Yoga Events Australia New Zealand LTD has held 7 festivals in: Melbourne, Auckland, Sydney, Taupo, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.
Jim Beam Homegrown
On the Wellington Waterfront was established in 2008 and is known as 'Kiwi music's biggest day'. Having sold out 6 years running the festival consists of 6 stages, 50+ bands & djs, covering over a kilometre of the Wellington Waterfront with approximately 17,000 attending.
Working for Homegrown Events Ltd, Picnic Events has operated the bars and sponsors / customer experiences at the Kiwi music festival since it's inception.
New Years Festival in Whitianga (Coromandel beach-town) 2009-2014 that catered to 25,000 patrons over a 2 day period, with approximately 5000 – 6000 people camping. The line-up features the cream on NZ music talent alongside a selection of top international headliners.
Picnic Events is contracted by EPC Partnership for licensing, hospitality & arena management.
NZ Cup & Show Week
The 'Christchurch Casino NZ Cup & Show' is held annually in November at two of NZs most prestigious horse racing venues: 'The Trots' (Harness Racing) at Addington Raceway and 'The Gallops' (Thoroughbred Racing) at Riccarton Park. Both Cup Days get over 20,000 attendance respectively.
Picnic Events is across all areas of both events from the Event Site Planning & Set-up, to Gate Management, Hospitality, Security & Comms.
Tuborg Sounds On was a celebration of good times, sustainability and top-notch Aotearoa Dub & Roots, Hip Pop & RnB. It was an amazing way to cap off the best summer on record with over 3,500 dancing on lushest piece of grass in Auckland: The Oval, North Harbour Stadium.
Picnic Events was responsible over all event management, licensing & hospitality in partnership with Lucky Events Ltd & Loop Media.
'The Concert with thanks to Skinny Mobile' was an awesome appreciation of the 10,000 strong Volunteer Army Foundation; the youth movement integral in the clean-up of post-earthquake Christchurch.
Picnic Events was proud to come on board the project to organise the final music festival at the newly built Ami Stadium as incentive to the volunteer efforts: 4 hours = 1 ticket.
La De Da

Over the past 5 years Picnic Events has been involved in numerous concerts held at some of New Zealand's most picturesque vineyards and wineries. Including: Pegasus Bay & The Main Divide in Waipara, Peregrine In Central Otago, Alana Estate in Martinborough, Sacred Hill in Hawkes Bay and more.

Fabel has done more to shape the South Island's event scenery than any other single organisation with countless shows over the years of 2006 - 2012. Including: 'Sounday' 2008/09/10 drawing 10,000 to Christchurch's Hagely Park (pictured), 'Cheap As Chips' 2008/09 in the University Oval and the UCSA's Major Events 2010/11/12 to name only a few.
Picnic Events was Fabel's event manager and hospitality provider.
The festival where it all began for Picnic was the brainchild of NZ's most awarded nightclub ' Sandwiches' - held annually in Wellington's pristine first-class cricket stadium The Basin Reserve; Summerset drew 6,500 for a multi-stage extravaganza showcasing top NZ live bands & djs in support of some of the UKs biggest names. It was the emerging kiwi sound paired with the height of UK club culture, complete with festival clowns and top-notch hospitality.
Burton Open Sessions
Held at the Queenstown Events Centre as the pinnacle music concert for the Burton NZ Snowboarding Champs and the NZ Winter Festival. The show featured Kiwi music legends Shihad, Kora, Tiki Taane and more and draw thousands to the events centre while a blizzard raged outside. We all got snowed in but had a great time. It was awesome to be a part of the action on and off the slopes.

Rugby World Cup FanZone
The RWC is recognised as NZ's biggest achievement in mega-events, and Picnic was proud to play a small part in the nationwide event. Auckland's Waterfront was brought to life with FanZones drawing tens of thousands out for the big matches, opening & closing ceremonies.
Picnic Events was engaged by Auckland Waterfront to operate the licensed area and bars for the Wynyard Quarter which hosted 11,000 for the All Blacks vs France final.
